Highland Road Cemetery contains 272 graves of men and women who lost their lives in World War I & II. All such graves are the responsibility of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and frequently have headstones with a common design; others are buried in non-standard family plots.
Details of each of the service personnel buried in Highland Road Cemetery are available on the Memorials In Portsmouth website, which also features photographs of all the headstones and a comprehensive mapping system defining the location of each grave.
Further information about the Commonwealth War Graves Commission is available at www.cwgc.org. The site also has a searchable database for all those who died in both world wars.
